duCret is now accepting registration for FALL 2012 3 YR Art Program!

The professionals who teach at duCret are well established artisans who bring insight along with an extensive wealth of knowledge to their respective classroom studios. Majors are offered in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics, Fine Art and Illustration. Full-time students can complete the 90 credit professional art program in three years. However, anyone 16+yrs may enroll on a part-time basis day, or evening, taking as few as one class per week. There are 4 Open Studios that correspond with the semesters, as well as Children and Teen Art Workshops and Summer Art Camp. There are also over 35 summer art workshops for adults. (Catalogs available in April)

FOR FALL 2012 FULL TIME STUDENT REGISTRATION
To APPLY: Fill out application form and mail with $25.00 fee to duCret School of Art.
Schedule Interview/Portfolio Review: duCret will notify you and invite you to schedule an interview within 7 days receipt of your application.
Prepare Your Portfolio NOW: A portfolio can consist of an entire collection or just a few great pieces. We’re not interested in volume. We want to access your talent levels and learned art skills. So put your best foot forward and present us only your BEST pieces. (Can be digital, ceramic pieces, jewelry pieces or standard painting/sketch portfolio). All student applicants must have a GED or be in process of getting a high school diploma. We don’t rate your test scores – we rate your talent and your passion to become a working professional artist!

SCHEDULE A PRE-APPLICATION TOUR: Students with Parents/Gardians are welcome to come tour the school before the application process. Just call 908-757-7171 between 9 – 4pm, MON – Friday. (Sorry – no Saturday tour times now, however, early weekday evening tours can be arranged). For those over 18, you can tour without a parent.

FOR PART TIME ADULT SCHOOL REGISTRATION - You MAY register for a Fall 2012 class at this time. Many adults are returning to art in their mid-life years! Adults can take just one class a semester and begin building a whole new art career, one class at a time! Earth Sentient’s (65 and over) are MORE than welcome here! Whether for pleasure or in training to become a professional artist, duCret offers a full time career program as well as part time classes for adults desiring a career shift. Please call 908-757-7171 to schedule an appointment for a tour and interview between 9AM – 4PM. One-class applicants need not schedule a portfolio review – simply call to register or walk-in to do so.
