Working from still-life subjects this oil painting workshop will focus on heightening the student’s observation of color which can result in more vivid painting. The class will be encouraged to work with a free palette to note the different hues present in the areas of light and shadow on the same object, even a “white” one. Composition and drawing accuracy will also receive attention as needed. This is a good basic workshop for the beginner, while students at all skill levels will benefit.
