This course covers document layout, typography, manipulation of text and graphics, production tips and short cuts using Quark XPress, the most popular desktop publishing package and the program of choice for many professional designers. Students will also be given an overview of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and how they can be integrated into Quark for a total digital production. Basic knowledge of design is helpful.
