The fashion industry is a meeting of art, design and business. Gain an understanding of the four phases of fashion field: design, manufacturing, marketing/promotion, and retail sales, including salary ranges available and learn back door ways for how to break into the fashion industry, with your own creations. Part I: focuses more on assembling ideas and fabrics for creating the start of a collection or brand line. Part II: focuses on a review of Part I, and expands to the actual creation of those designs, which can include working on mannequins, draping, some hand sewing and the bare bones basics of taking 2D designs to 3D prototypes.
