[Foundation} This course focuses on examination of structural and expressive factors of the figure and looks at their interrelation within the drawing. The use of line drawing, planes and masses, foreshortening and anatomy are used to aid in drawing nude and draped figures.

This is a required two semester 3rd year class or for adults who have acquired enough visual materials to flush out a full website. Students will develop visual graphic information and design skills required to create websites. Students also learn professional applications such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. The course projects include critique, typography, color, digital imaging and composition.

Learn all aspects of children's book illustration, from start to finish. Technique, style, design and compatibility of an illustration to the story is stressed, using stories written by the student, existing materials, and project assignments.

Students will learn the professional process of building their own maquette, beginning with full body character/creature concept design fundamentals. Then they will learn to proportionately build a wire armature and to dynamically pose their creature, while learning sculpting techniques to form the maquette, with anatomical knowledge.

[Foundation] The purpose of this course is to introduce the principals of typography, aesthetics, and graphic design while learning and reinforcing the basic rules of working on a Mac computer. An overview of popular software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator will be covered.

Explore the use of watercolor and other water based mediums including; inks, water soluble crayons and pencils. Basic artistic concepts pertaining to the varied mediums will be covered. Learn problem solving and skill building while exploring personal passions and creative styling.  The use of live models and on-location painting will be included in this class. Think in advance of subject matter that you would like to paint, so that you can create paintings you are passionate about.
