This introductory course can give you the insight and experience you need to create small pieces for enjoyment or to gain a sense what what a career in stained glass would be like. Design, draw, cut, tape and solder stained glass in the Tiffany technique. Work with varied glass types. Intermediate to advanced students will be guided to design and create more intricate and complex 2-D and 3-D projects, which can include 3D lamps, jewelry boxes and hanging glass terrariums.

This class is designed for any level. Students work on individual and group projects making functional and sculptural objects using hand building and mixed methods. For individuals working at the intermediate level, focus is placed on structure, composition and refining of 3D objects, clay preparations and more advanced applications of glazes. Emphasis is also placed on developing one's unique and 'signature style' designs.

[Foundation] Learn to put your camera to professional use and discover all venues available in the commercial photography industry. Learn the basics or just brush up on them to enhance creative productivity. WB-ISO settings, aperture, shutter speed, electing auto-focus point and manual focus in a hands-on studio and off-location environments are covered. Develop a photographic eye as you learn the basics of digital photography, set-up, break down of equipment and the basics of a studio design. Course activities also include the key elements photography: composition, focal point, texture and shape.

Cloning, color correcting, scanning, photo stitching, text and some special effects will be covered using in-class projects. The projects selected are based on jobs and assignments from the work place. Each project is intended to be used in a general Graphic Design portfolio, based on one's career goals.

Acrylics are versatile, odorless paints, simple to use and easy to clean up. Yet they can be used in a similar capacity of the oil painting medium, when you discover how to use various mediums and oil painting techniques. Discover how to control the drying time with both the opaque and glazing techniques used in oil painting. Also learn to duplicate the transparent effects of watercolor. Basic color theory and elements of composition included. Use this approach for any subject matter from traditional to modern, to fantasy paintings.

This course will cover the use of hand tools, sawing, filing, soldering, drilling, polishing, assembling rings and pendants with bezel and prong settings. Design one-of-a-kind signature pieces or learn how to cast molds for mass production purposes. Beginners are encouraged.

This is an advanced design and fabrication of jewelry in sterling silver and other metals, with or without using semi-precious stones. Students must have intermediate skills in jewelry design. This course covers hand tools, sawing, filing, soldering, drilling, polishing, assembling rings and pendants with bezels and professional level prong settings. Shop safety and the advanced use of torches, polishing machines, ultrasonic and steam cleaning applications are covered.
